Patrick Smith – Executive Director

Patrick co-founded Tribe Advisory in 2017. Patrick is well respected across the risk management community and insurance industry for his deep knowledge of risk transfer and governance coupled with a flair for product creation, scheme design and marketing. Patrick is a regular industry commentator.

His career spans 40 years having held a number of senior roles. These include chief risk officer of global insurer, international director of risk, insurance and claims management at Hertz Corporation, founder of an MGA and director of Captive insurance businesses in Ireland and Guernsey.

Patrick is former chair of AIRMIC, the association of insurance and risk managers, and is their Academy Principal; a platform for learning and developing best practice. He is a business coach and mentor and the inaugural inductee into the Airmic Hall of Fame.

Patrick is Tribe’s lead consultant for global insurance programmes for a number of clients, including Deliveroo, S4 Capital, Tier Mobility and Pure Electric.

Patrick Smith, has been honoured with the prestigious Hall of Fame award at the Airmic (Association for Insurance & Risk) Excellence Awards 2023. This exceptional award, first of its kind, is a testament to Patrick's outstanding leadership, dedication, and remarkable contributions to our industry.


Nick Stretton – Executive Director

Nick co-founded Tribe alongside business partner Patrick Smith. Being an entrepreneur at heart, he thrives on new opportunities to source, develop, grow and execute.

His career as an insurance leader spans 35 years, having held roles as head of relationship management at Zurich London; managing director at a Capita claims third party administrator; strategic account director at RSA and vice president for Crawford London.

Nick was the majority shareholder in a successful hospitality insurance scheme business, which he sold in 2014. He is also the majority shareholder in a small property business and enjoys his work in several charity engagements.

As well as supporting the global programme insurance activities, Nick leads consumer propositions and, particularly, the delivery of products and services to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Marston’s plc.


MAX JONES - CLIENT EXECUTIVE

Max is a dynamic professional who eagerly joined Tribe Advisory in February 2023, fuelled by a relentless drive to help propel the business forward with creative ideas, a fresh perspective and the desire to help our clients and partners succeed.

With a diverse background in the insurance industry, Max has amassed experience across various domains, including claims management, sales and broking and multinational client service. Throughout his career, he has successfully navigated the intricacies of both start-up ventures as well as large corporate businesses, honing his skills and developing his industry connections along the way.

Passionate about innovation and committed to delivering exceptional results, Max consistently uses his expertise to create strategic solutions that enable our insurance partners to deliver excellent results for our clients. 

Max's deep understanding of the insurance landscape, coupled with his ability to react and adapt to new challenges, enables him to quickly identify opportunities for growth and implement the forward-thinking plans that drive tangible positive change.


Amanda Quick - Client and Administration  Executive

Amanda is a versatile professional with a strong background in sales, marketing, and administration.

With five years at Tribe and previous roles as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Pro Hospitality Limited and Regional Sales Manager at College Green Associates, she brings extensive expertise to her work.

Amanda is known for her diligence, conscientiousness, and ability to adapt. She excels in building client relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Her blend of skills and commitment to excellence make her a valuable asset to Tribe.
