Typically, why do organisations seek to launch Group or Affinity Schemes?

There can be a number of strategic drivers that are include

  • Build loyalty and added value to their communities

  • Drive additional income

  • Address corporate governance or risks by ensuring proper cover is in place

  • Increase or create competitive advantage

How do you ensure that the price charged is competitive?

We have access to the whole insurance market and arrange schemes with only top-rated companies. Due to the volumes we deal in, we have buying power and we also have exceptional trusted insurance market relationships, built over many years, that enable us to negotiation the best in class terms and conditions for our clients.

If I launch an affinity scheme do I have to be regulated?

The simple answer is no, if handled by Tribe. If you wish to deal directly with your community in the arranging, advising and selling of your scheme, you would be required to be regulated.

Does Tribe charge a fee to set up a new Group or Affinity Scheme?

It is not our practice to charge a fee for setting up a scheme.

If the appetite of insurers change, how do you ensure that the scheme remains viable, competitive and accessible to customers?

We have countless relationships in the insurance market and as such use our network to mitigate the upset of an insurer’s appetite change by finding a new market/capacity provider in good time.
