Clive has worked in the insurance industry since 1987, beginning his career at global broking houses including Willis, specialising in claims and broking across Marine and Non-Marine risks.
In 2002 he moved client-side as Head of Group Insurance at Associated British Ports, before joining Schroders in 2006 as Group Insurance Manager during the global financial crisis. During this time he was invited to join the Airmic board.
In 2012 Clive joined Lloyd’s Register as their first Group Insurance Manager, where he designed an award-winning cross-class captive insurance solution combining traditional insurance lines with Life and Employee Benefits. He became Chair of Airmic in 2016, strengthening its links with universities offering risk and insurance qualifications.
Clive joined Willis Towers Watson in 2017 as Director of Insurance, integrating multiple global insurance programmes following acquisitions, before moving to Zurich in 2021 as Global Relationship Leader, working with major global businesses across financial services, logistics, energy and real estate.
He has served as a captive insurance board director across multiple jurisdictions and is well known in the London, US and Bermudian markets.
Outside work, Clive is a long-suffering West Ham fan and enjoys football, tennis, cricket and snooker, and spending time with his family.
